I’ve been trying out this new look without the eyeliner and if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’d probably have seen it. I ran out of my favourite Maybelline eyeliner and they don’t sell it in the US! I’ve tried similar ones – fine, felt tip and black, but it’s just not the same so I’m just trying to do without it until my new supply comes in when my family comes and visit next…

Today’s lab work was easy. We were in and out of the clinic within an hour. It was really crowded when we got there and all the seats in the waiting room were taken, so I was really surprised it got to my turn so quickly. I was also glad the nurse taking my blood samples was quick too! 1 needle and 3 vials. No retry needed. Very often, I have to give both inner elbows and also the back of one of my hands. Been told repeatedly how fine my veins are. Also I’ve had blood spurt out from a vein, only then to stop flowing completely. So with the luck I got today, I’m very thankful and it put me in a good mood. The little things count when times are dreary, you know?

IMG_5965I think by now you’d have figured what’s up. I haven’t changed or washed my shorts. I figured that if you can wear jeans for weeks without washing, denim shorts are essentially the same things except uhm… shorter. Let’s see how long I can go before I gross myself out. HAHAHA!!

Also, denim on denim is usually a no no but I reckon that a printed chambray (which is the lighter cousin of denim) with stars is not the exact same fabric, so it’s okay. What do you think?

IMG_5426This post features a bag I love but don’t have many occasions to carry because it’s too small for my regular wallet. And doesn’t go with most of my things. I usually carry it when nothing matches and I just want to clash all kinds of colours or prints in one outfit. BUT more importantly this outfit features my spanking brand new SUPERGA sneakers that I bought for the princely *snigger* sum of USD8.99!! ROSS did it again! I checked and they usually retail for USD50 upwards! Big pats on my back!!

IMG_5427I just wanted to put it out there for posterity that the other day when I was putting hearts on all the lovely things I liked (but not buying) on ModCloth, my husband gave me a hug and said with a sad face “It’s okay honey, soon we’ll have money for you to buy all the things you want”. How sweet is that? Honestly, even if we had a $500,000 bank balance, I don’t think I’ll be spending $300 on shoes. It’s fun looking at nice things though…

This morning T and I brought Max to the vet for a check-up to see if he is still cancer-free. He was a really happy dog the entire time until the swing doors opened and he remembered that we had to leave him there with the technician. There was a bit of a struggle but we managed. Poor doggie was so happy to see us when we picked him up!

Do you like today’s tights? They are sooooo super comfortable and I can’t wait to pair it up with a ton of other outfits! I just received them in the mail last week from the kind people at WE LOVE COLORS and I now have a total of 3 pairs from 3 different ranges. (See last Friday’s outfit post.) This pair is from their Plus Sized Black Striped range and I love them because a) there’s a very strong gusset b) they have an extra panel where the belly is so it’ll stretch well over round ones like mine c) they’re the exact colour I’ve been looking for. At USD12, these tights are worth every penny.

I wear leggings/tights/stockings a lot and I’ve probably worn my first pair of WE LOVE COLORS tights to death – except that it’s still in very good condition and waaaaaay off from dying. Most people handwash their delicates and hosiery but I’m too lazy to do so. I use laundry nets and bag them before they all get dumped into the washing machine. I don’t even separate the colours from the whites – I know I should and some day I will… eventually. Maybe. T caught me doing laundry once and was quite shocked that I don’t bother keeping the whites separate. I’m lucky in that I buy good stuff that don’t run.

Anyway, the point is, these WE LOVE COLORS tights seem to be colour-fast and I haven’t had any problems with them. They’re hardy yet soft. Opaque and stretchy. Just to prove another point, Sian Eng was touching and tugging at my tights after she took today’s photos – that’s how impressed she was!

On another note… 10 more days till I get to see T! I’m so excited! w00t!

I was told not to wear large shoulders because my shoulders are wide enough but I’m making an exception for KRAFTWERK!!!! I’m watching Kraftwerk 3-D at the Esplanade Theatre tonight at 8pm! I heard limited tickets are still available if you want to join the “robots”…

So yeah, boxy shoulders, robots, Kraftwerk… You know?

Here’s another quickie! What am I saying? They are all quickies and I never spend more than 10 minutes from taking pictures to writing up a post. How do bloggers spend all their time doing this? I am always so distracted and busy.

And this is a dress I’ve only worn once. I bought it to wear to my friend Patsy’s wedding last November. Her only instructions to the brides maids were to wear a pink dress so everyone did their own variation.
