It’s not as cold these couple of days so the thick coats have been replaced by a lighter cardigan!

I feel that my orange cardigan from J. Crew has been really versatile even though most people would consider a neutral colour better.

I do at least 2 loads of laundry a week. Most times more. There are only 3 of us living in this house! I try to minimize the number of items I personally need washing by wearing them more than once – like jeans. I wear them at least 2-3 times before I toss them in the wash. In my teens, I could live and sleep in them for up to a week.
No lies here – this pair has been worn 3 times this week. I think they’re “still fresh”. They go in the wash immediately if it has been raining or if I’ve gone somewhere unsanitary though.
My black and white top is Marimekko x Uniqlo and I love my Dr Martens purple strappy platforms.
I wear Tom’s jackets every so often and I love the oversized jackets because they’re so comfy, snuggly.
Paired this purple faux leather Apparis jacket with my Reebok Aztrek for running my errands. A practical outfit for chores and errands but with colour.
These Lenora Dame earrings are amazing! I had another pair that I gave away to someone who admired the quirkiness. Must have been several years ago by now.
Tom said he really liked how this Hill House Home coat went with my hair today. Made no mention of my Bakelite bangle from Etro though. I love Bakelite!
Very inspired by my pink top recently and I might redo my hair in this shade of pink next.
I was doing my thing by the pool and Goliath decided that he wanted to be on my side of the backyard. Essentially, I don’t care if the fenced-in backyard is 3500 sq ft, I just want to sit… RIGHT HERE!
Oversized purple faux leather jacket from Apparis and yellow jelly shoes from Melissa.
Goliath was adopted from Bark n Bitches when they were still at their Fairfax location.
I own a large number of black t-shirts with the logo of different bands (mostly rock bands I grew up with). They’re comfy and comforting. There’s a lot of nostalgia that comes along with that.
On the day I wore this, Tom dressed Alastair in a Metallica sweatshirt and Levi’s for school. Enter Sandman is my hearing-impaired 7 year-old’s favourite song at the moment. He loves all iterations – the actual song, the music video, YouTube covers by little kids etc. I would love to know what the synthesized version of this song sounds through his cochlear implant because he doesn’t hear like we do.
So band t-shirts and jeans is an ongoing mother and son sartorial choice. In my opinion, it’s like our uniform!
I love my Rebecca Minkoff fluffy brown jacket with the asymmetrical zipper here. You could do the entire rocker ensemble with a moto jacket of some kind but it’s a cold day. 5degC! Soft and fluffy is the way to go – especially when you’re leaving the for school at 7:15am…
I take my boots out of storage in early November and they go back in the closet at the end of February. It gets a little too hot here otherwise and I don’t want to sweat up a stink.
I wear my regular Harley Davidson lug boots most often but these knee highs only when I’m in skirts or dresses. How many pairs of boots do you own and what kind of climate do you live in?
Also, LOOK AT THAT! It’s the same H&M top from the previous post! Told you I love it with everything, told you!
I’m loving this new H&M striped jersey top that I got recently. Literally wearing it a lot because it’s so versatile! So soft, so stretchy and so affordable! I recommend it to anyone who asks! I mean USD12.99, come on!
Also, these are my reading glasses. Completely useless for anything else and I get a headache when I try to walk around in them. I spend half the time peering out of the top when I’m wearing them. I also have a pair of driving glasses for long distance. I like them enough but I’m getting bifocals next. 2 pairs of glasses are just one too many.
I like colours and I like prints. Is it considered clashing prints when you personally don’t think they clash? They’re decidedly different but I like how they look when they’re paired.
Top from Gorman, jeans from MSGM and shoes from Jeffrey Campbell.
I’m really not a hardcore fan. I watched The Simpsons whenever it was on but I never followed it closely. Funnily enough, the 2 Cakeworthy pieces I bought are both from The Simpsons franchise.
