About 2 months ago, I saw this post by Jolene of Boardroom Blonde and remembered that I too owned that very same dress. I wasn’t expecting to buy anything that fateful day last December when my family were here visiting but the Las Vegas Premium Outlets do have very attractive prices and this Kate Spade dress was a little more than USD40 after multiple discounts (that’s including taxes!) And if you haven’t realised by now, I’m still trying to stretch my wardrobe instead of succumbing to getting an entirely new one with my maternity needs. This is a regular-sized dress. Very flattering cut. Stretchy and swingy. The elasticised waist is perfect right now! The orange chevron stripes – so cheery and Spring!IMG_1480

Being frivolous is getting more difficult when there are so many issues in your life you can’t take lightly. The point of this blog is to document life’s more trivial pursuits and instead there are so many ranty-tanty things I would like to write about, so let me try this again. The weather just turned overnight. Literally. It was in the mid-30s (Celsius) one day and the next, it was under 20! So sweat shirts are in and shorts are out!!! T is still wearing t-shirts and shorts for now but he puts on an extra shirt when he leaves the house to walk Max with me. I, on the other hand, wear an additional scarf when walking outside. I wore this outfit to do my groceries – which means driving from point to point and only being exposed to the elements for short periods under a minute from car to store. Other than that, I need to beef it up.

This is what I wore today running errands. I went to the Post Office again because I’ve been mailing out packages. Other than doing house things as housewifey as I get, I also help out with some of the more boring parts of T’s business – filing receipts, taking care of his stock of merchandise and mailing stuff out. His game Axiom Verge has a playable demo in North American retailers now. Go check out a Sony Playstation kiosk in a store – Best Buy, Target, Game Stop etc. Support indie developers! I was actually surprised at how comfortable this combination is. I’m rather fond of just throwing things on and winging it for the day unless I’m very uncomfortable – ladies, you understand the problems of stuff riding up and tugging right? This might be an ensemble I would wear again soon… then again *koffkoff* Sometimes I just plain forget.

Summer aka shorts-season is almost over and soon it’ll be cardigan season (my favourite)! Got about 2 or 3 more weeks to bare legs – shorts and skirts, before I start covering up slowly. My favourite thing to wear right now are shorts. These denim shorts = best purchase this summer! Got it on sale at OLD NAVY for only $14 and I think I’ve worn them so much, they’ve practically paid for themselves!

My pals Little and his wife Joanne are in town visiting me and this is what I wore to show them around the Las Vegas Strip yesterday – bright and cheery but still sensible for lots of walking! What do you think of my 1st fat-shionista post with the new hair? It’s all shaved and buzzed like a boy’s at the back and I coloured it red myself to save money!
