There actually is a method to today’s madness. The clashing prints and mish-mash is all about comfort. If you peep at me through your eyelashes, you can hardly notice the clash. It’s all black, grey and red. Hey! It works for me and I like it!

So after the outdoor photos were taken, I almost immediately regretted not accessorizing. Lucky for me, I keep a bag of accessories in the office! So I picked some up and retook the photos. Hence the overload today.

One more for the road... so much better with accessories right?

Today has been a busy busy busy day. I had a long department meeting to start the day and then I presented the programmes in my 2011 season for one of the series I’m in charge of. Then it was a whirlwind with an Approval Paper which I managed to submit within the day (ok, I cheated because I started writing it a while ago. All I needed to do was amend some things and tighten some budgets after my presentation). I also just completed a very important contract for the upcoming festival. GAH… My eyes are all red and tired now.

This wasn’t the outfit I envisioned when I decided on what to wear today. I first put on a bright pink leopard print polyester top from RIVER ISLAND and decided that they didn’t go with my F21 leggings (VPL and all that). Also, I came to work without the long cardigan. It just got cold in the office and I had it hugging the back of my seat. Today, I also have a new photographer. I say thanks to Stephanie from Corp Comms… my colleagues are awesome.

They are here!!! Save for 2 items which are a little disappointing, I love them all! I wish the Polka-dotted Beth Ditto dress fitted me better but no biggie, I think I’ll go get it fixed (i.e. altered).

I tried on my Evans Zip Detail Shoe Boots

The Beth Ditto Black and Ivory Spot Dress was too loose in many places

Absolutely love this sleeveless belted longline top

The sleeveless belted longline top came with a very nice belt

I changed my mind about cutting the sleeves on the Heart Print Hanki Hem Top

This green 2 in 1 dress-skirt is possibly my best purchase

Other than these items, 3 handmade dresses from etsy also arrived. Also, I bought 2 tops last Saturday – 1 from DKNY and another from CLUB MONACO. I haven’t bought these many NEW things in a loooooong time. I usually thrift-shop and bargain hunt. EEEEEEK! I think I’m going to be so shocked when my credit card bill arrives this month *bites lower lip* Thank god for the extra $$ coming in through a show I’m doing next week. *meep

I’m back in the office to sort out some paperwork and surprise surprise… there are 6 people in my department who are also slogging away at their desks. Workaholics!

Going to another concert tonight! Florence & The Machine and The xx!!!!!! 8pm! w00t! Also, Echo & the Bunnymen tomorrow!

Make-up: MAC Stars & Rockets eyeshadow (purple) and URBAN DECAY Sellout eyeshadow (peach)

I think I look so much better when I do actually plan my outfit with an existing wardrobe I’m familiar with, instead of throwing on the newest thing I get my hands on.
