I’m wearing another piece from MS. READ today. To be completely honest, this one came as a surprise to me. I tried on a lot of items and this wasn’t one that I thought would fit so well. Draping is so important because outfits don’t always look like they should in the Lookbooks. Again, this was so generously cut I am wearing a UK14. No unsightly bulges, no bunching and no static clinging to my lump and bumps. I thought the orange and the print would look mumsy on me (I am afterall 35) but it turned out okay. Actually it’ll only look mumsy if you’re mumsy. And if that’s what you are, embrace it! I think what’s best is to feel good about yourself and you don’t have to follow trends or copy others!
Sian Eng who took my pictures said that she really likes it too. She thinks it’s got a vintage-y feel to it and is really quite flattering!
Anyway, I thought I’d like to share some of the other items that I really liked:
http://www.msreadshop.com/shopping/1693-full-sleeved-shift-dress.html (SGD 59.50) This is a sale item and an all black dress is an accessorizor’s dream! You can wear your statement necklaces with this one!
http://www.msreadshop.com/shopping/2161-collared-tunic.html (SGD 99 – only SGD79 when you flash the SGD20 off wastedfashion flyer valid till 31 July 2013) I was gutted I couldn’t make it work because my shoulders are a lot broader than my hips so I look unbalanced. I loved the colour and was planning to wear it as a dress.
http://www.msreadshop.com/shopping/1587-sequined-dress.html (SGD38.70) This is on sale and it’s so cute! Sequins are awesome! A great cut too!
From now till 31st July 2013, flash the above image (on your smart phone or mobile device) for a straight SGD20 off your total bill (for regular priced items) in store at 3 locations – Centrepoint, Metro Paragon and Metro Woodlands. wastedfashion readers can also get 20% discount for 1 entire year until 30 June 2014 by asking for the “wastedfashion discount”. (NOTE: Both discounts cannot be used simultaneously.)
Such a great fit, man. And it doesn’t look mumsy on you (will probably, on me). Now I’m inspired to sew a tunic dress myself 😀
And you should!!! You’re doing so well on the sewing front! I think I’ll buy some fabric for you and bring it when I visit!
This is my favourite of all the Ms Read frocks – love the retro vibe:)
You do? Cool! Heehee…
