I have checked out of the hotel at Earl’s Court. Time alone has been good. Staying with friends also good. It has been windy cold and very wet. I caved in and bought a brolly. A cute frilly polka-dotted one from Dorothy Perkins though! Haven’t done much and I’m happy just doing nothing. Pretty much seen all the must-visit landmarks before anyway. I needed to run far away but I wanted to be at someplace familiar. So London called…
Chloe, what in the world is a brolly? Do enlighten me!
Uh an umbrella hahahaha I’m not sure where it’s not used but we say that in Singapore
Have a whole lot of fun! Isn’t it really cold over there right now?
Awww, London. I am sure you had a blast in that city. With all the shops and all the sights to see and visit.
Was the hotel in Earls Court expensive? Last time (well, the one before the last time) I decided to stay at the hotel just couple streets away from Earls Court, in Kensington and Chelsea, and even the price was considerably little (~30 pounds per night) there was a leaking ceiling in the stairway, my room had some naked wires and the staff almost didn’t speak any English. However I heard it’s the same situation with budget hotels in every borough. But your hotel room looks nice 🙂
In 09 I stayed at Oliver Plaza for about £55 a night. This time at City Continental for about £40. Both are convenient and decent with clean hot showers, though Oliver Plaza just renovated. So if you have £10-15 more to spare, stay there.
