Lighttouch texted on Monday to say they’ll be at Stereolab yesterday (Wednesday) for FREE BEER. Leader of our gang was spinning and I was just across the road, so obviously I had to make the effort to go after work. Only 1/5 of the gang was there but it was still good.
Best thing other than my friends, the short distance, and music (free beer has no effect on me because I’m alcohol-free) are the $5 flaky pastry pizzas! I ordered the Truffle Parmesan and Shu ordered the Mushroom… OH SO FLAKY, SO BUTTERY, SO SAVOURY, SO DELICIOUS… SO CHEAP!! Only $5!
Ahh… the perks of being an alky is that you have $5 Happy Hour drinks (5-9pm Monday – Friday) on standard house pours. I however spent almost $18 on 1 Coke & 1 Orange Juice. Por did try to rescue me by asking for a Bourbon Coke without Bourbon. No can do. Gah.
